E-waste or electronic waste, refers to discarded electrical appliances or electronic devices that are no longer usable or wanted. They must be properly managed because they cannot decompose naturally and may contain toxic substances.

  • Give your E-Waste to the postman when they deliver your mail — no charge

Safety Tips for Disposal
E-Waste

E-Waste should not be disposed of together with general waste
Do not burn, bury or dispose of in drains
Do not take it apart. It can be dangerous

Tips

  • Delete all data and photos from your phone and tablet before disposal
  • Remove the memory card before disposal
  • For swollen batteries, soak in water for 5 hours to discharge safely. Then wrap in a plastic bag or paper before throwing away
