Did you know that there is a secret hidden in the black bag in your backyard?

Things you throw into black bags every day, whether they are plastic bottles, drinking glasses, food containers, curry bags, and others, including food scraps that are thrown together without separating them, can be a source of germs such as bacteria, fungi, or parasites, and the rotten smell from fermentation can become a small pollution in your home. Furthermore, it can cause environmental problems and impact the health of Bangkokians.

Bangkok has good intentions? Inviting Bangkokians to separate their waste before throwing it away with the project “Don’t Pour It Together, Separate Food Waste from General Waste to Reduce Some Environmental Problems”

In the past year, the results of the “No Waste Mixing” project found that the overall amount of waste in Bangkok has been sorted and has increased continuously by almost 2 times ‼️

and reduce waste management costs by 387,600 baht per day, totaling a reduction of 141,474,000 baht per year.

This money can be used for other benefits. This is the goal of Bangkok to use the budget in a cost-effective manner.

And the “No Mixing” project in its second year has been continuously implemented in all 50 districts to ensure that Bangkokians have confidence in the separate waste collection system, with a total of 4 operations.

The first story Organize a system to support sorted waste in every 2-ton and 5-ton compacted waste collection truck by installing food waste bins, recycling bins, and hazardous waste bins in the sorted waste compartment behind the driver, along with publicizing and providing advice on how to sort and dispose of sorted waste to people in the area to be fully and continuously informed.

The second story Provide specific vehicles for collecting food waste and recyclable waste from citizens participating in the “No Mixing” project, at least one vehicle per district office.

The third story Provide a collection point for food waste to be used as fertilizer or forwarded to farmers for use, as well as a separate point for hazardous waste to be disposed of properly, and a point for recyclable waste to be sold as an employee welfare fund.

The Fourth Story Create a list of citizens and businesses participating in the No-Trap Project and participating in the BKK Zero Waste waste separation project and enter it into the reporting system as specified by the Environmental Office.

The secret of the garbage you are wondering about? It's not a bad thing. Let's join together to create a habit of separating garbage before throwing it away easily in the style of "not pouring it together".
