How to discard Snack boxes

If it is a cookie box with a plastic coating, dispose of it as general waste.

If it is a box of cookies with a clear plastic part to show the cookies inside, peel off the plastic part and throw it in the general trash.

If there is no plastic coating, it is pure paper, so dispose of it as recycled waste.
How can I tell if the box has a plastic coating?
Candy boxes with a plastic coating often have a shiny or glossy appearance and may feel slippery to the touch. Regular cardboard boxes often have a matte finish and can absorb moisture. Alternatively, try gently tearing the box. If you see a plastic film on the inside, there is a plastic coating.
