“Hello, my name is Jood. I am an artist… or maybe I am about to quit, or maybe I never was. I am thinking about the state of the world, a world driven by capitalism that has a profound impact on the lives of artists and the lives of ordinary people struggling in today’s world.
One day, I got an answer that might sound harsh, but it reflects the truth I am facing: “Art for a poor person like me is death.” Sounds shocking, right? But the word “death” here does not mean death. Here, it does not mean death, it might be a “betrayal” of…… through the eyes of “just judgment and end”. The endless changes in the “world” we live in. “Earth” is just an object driven by a predetermined “time”. Even during the time we are born, grow up, and even until the end of our lives, we humans all seek “happiness.” But in a world full of competition and loneliness, happiness is something hard to achieve.
Someone asked me about the meaning of “happiness.” He replied, “In this world, life is not called happiness. What is called happiness is something special. But for me, happiness, in the Thai sense, is probably accomplishing something. Therefore, my happiness does not really exist.” This answer reinforced my feeling that true happiness may be just an illusion in a world full of uncertainty.
Our world may be merely a “temporary existence with no end in sight,” or a “Wheel of Fortune” rather than a joyful and fulfilling one, for suffering is a part of life that we cannot eliminate. If suffering were eliminated, human life would be incomplete.
