Personal information such as first and last name should be scraped off the label or package of the medicine to prevent data leakage.

Place expired medicine in a tightly closed container, such as a zip-lock bag or a plastic container with a lid, to prevent leakage.

Write a message on the container saying "Expired medicine".

Dispose in hazardous waste bin
Don't do this.
Do not flush expired medicine down the toilet or drain, as this may affect the environment. Also, do not burn expired medicine, as this may create toxic fumes.
