Come and enjoy the art exhibition by Japanese artist Tomoko Konno and 8 leading artists from Thailand, with over 70 works under the concept of “Art Walk & Cultural Fusion”. This art exhibition invites visitors to step into the world of beauty that fuses Japanese and Thai cultures through ceramics, sculptures, and handicrafts, which are contemporary craftsmanship full of stories and emotions, reflecting the beauty and diversity of art without borders, connecting creators and viewers through a path full of creativity, inspiration, and imagination.
Siam Takashimaya Department Store has collaborated with Tomoko Konno, a renowned Japanese ceramic artist whose works have been exhibited in museums and galleries around the world, including in Thailand on several occasions. This is the first time in Thailand that there will be an exhibition of works with 8 leading Thai artists. The objective is to strengthen cultural relations between Japan and Thailand, create exchanges, promote learning about ceramics, and create new inspirations for creating art for visitors to the exhibition.
Highlights of the event
- Join the seminar on “Art and Japanese and Thai Ceramics” by Tomoko Konno and Thai artists such as Chanakan Semachai, Nai Dee Changmo, Kritsaya Lueanganantakul and Kamolchanok Phanuwet on July 16, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Event Space, 4th floor.
- See the Nerikomi ceramic artworks by Japanese artist Tomoko Konno, including Baby Face, Creature, Liberation, and a new work, Wedding Bouquet, a bouquet of flowers for sharing, which are specially made for this event only. On display at the Event Space on the 4th floor and the exhibition area on the M and 1st floors.

- Pim Sutthikham, a ceramic artist, has exhibited her work all over the world. Her latest work was selected for the 63rd Premio Faenza Prize in Italy, and the Bangkok Art Biennale (BAB 2024). Her exhibited works include Remnant XV, Remnant V.
- Chanakarn Semachai, a ceramic artist, has exhibited her work internationally in Germany, Taiwan, China, Australia and the United States. In 2024, she was selected to demonstrate and publish her work at the Clay Gulgong Festival in Australia. She is currently preparing for a summer residency program in Jingdezhen, China in 2025. Her works include Stuck here like Bangkok traffic, which reflects the perspective of cultural differences through modern dinosaurs.
- Kritsaya Luenganantakul is a ceramic artist with experience in both national and international exhibitions. In 2018, she received the Next Art Tainan: The Metamorphosis international artist award from Taiwan. Her works are collected in the Flint Institute of Arts Museum in the United States. Her works on display include Human Flower Vase.
- Vinita Setthasunthon is an artist with a passion for experimenting with a variety of media and materials, including paintings, ceramics, drawing, printmaking, and mixed media. Her work reflects deep emotions and feelings through the use of patterns and colors with unique meanings. Her works on display include UNCERTAINLY SLOW (2022), THE DEVIL IS IN THE DETAILS (2021), BLODY SNAIL (2021), etc.
- Naidee Changmo is a renowned Thai sculptor known for his work that blends traditional and modern styles. His work has received international recognition, including his participation in the Clay Alchemy artist exchange program between Thai and Australian artists in Melbourne in 2006. Naidee also created art huts known as Naidee Sculpture Huts for the Patravadi Theatre in Hua Hin, reflecting his vision and dedication to art. Some of his works on display include So many banana and the Purity Collection.
- Hasakorn Hiransirichoke, or I-Are, is a ceramic artist who reflects the fragility and beauty of nature through his fingertip-sized artworks. He has exhibited his work in countries around the world, including Thailand, the Philippines, South Korea, Taiwan, China, the United States, England, and Germany. His works are delicate sculptures, created by assembling small parts with expertise and years of experience.
- Prisita Thansirin, a ceramic artist and floral arranger, is inspired by nature to create her works, including textures, the sky, sea waves, and flowers. She aims to convey the beauty of small details in life through art that perfectly combines art and craftsmanship. Her works on display include Become, Petals, Bloom, and Soft Solitude, which is her newest work.
- Kamonchanok Phanuwet, a ceramic artist with cute and unique designs, has experience in exhibitions both domestically and internationally, most recently with the Art Group exhibition, Hyatt Place Jingdezhen Taoxichuan, Jiangxi, China. Her exhibited works include Fortunate – Good Luck, Relaxation – Relaxation, etc.
